Hello, I recently bought a mercedes slc 250d and having not owned a merc before I looked for an independent mercedes specialist ,fortunately I found SPR autos, I booked in for a B service, an optimate lead fitting (which the mercedes dealership I bought my car from would not fit) and a general look over, and what a great bunch of lads we found, Nathan booked us in and patiently talked us through the service so off we went into sunny stockport for a great breakfast, Nathan phoned us and said everything was fine with the car and it was ready to be picked up, we arrived back and the car was all ready for us, we had a chat to Sam and Nathan and you could tell they were mercedes enthusiasts and also had plenty of time for you, they advised a gearbox service on my next regular service which I will definitely have done, we paid the very reasonable bill and left feeling very happy we had found a great place to keep our mercedes in tip top condition thanks very much lads we look forward to seeing you next time, Rob and Lynne Otway😁👍

Fantastic Service from Sam and all the Team at SPR, Nathan kept me informed of the progress of the work I had booked my car in for and any issues he spotted on the Health Check, fortunately not too many were found but good to know any issues have been dealt with in one visit and it gives me peace of mind that all should be good for the next 12 Months with the stuff you can't see unless you own a ramp,, keep up the good work SPR and keep those you tube videos coming as my Wife and I really enjoy watching what you get up to at work each Month :)

I recently purchased a part from SPR Autos that I had a minor issue with. I follow and enjoy the YT channel, and was super impressed with Sam & the team’s knowledge, professionalism and lack of BS. I’m lucky enough now to have my SL500 on the books, and on the first visit they’ve already solved an issue my local MB specialist couldn’t figure out. Also - saved me a small fortune with the ABC ball joint replacement. I get the impression that they are honest, trustworthy and enthusiastic, with a deep well of knowledge and experience in modern and modern classic MBs. My car is in the best hands now to ensure it lasts as long as it can - I’ll be happily bringing it in for regular servicing, preventative maintenance and “whilst you’re in there” jobs, despite the distance from me - thanks Sam! Sam and the team at SPR Autos Ltd were fantastic. I ordered level sensors for my 2010 S212 E‑Class over Christmas and was worried about delivery, but Sam reached out on their first day back to double‑check the parts and made everything effortless. They upgraded my shipping to express, kept me updated with tracking, and the parts arrived in perfect condition. I fitted them myself in early January and they’ve been working flawlessly for the first 1,000 miles. It’s rare to find a team with so much knowledge and dedication. Sam cares about his work and reputation and that shows in the quality of their work. I’m extremely fussy about who I let work on my old Mercedes and I don’t normally leave reviews but SPR recently recommissioned my CLK after it’s been off the road for over 3 years and the quality of work and attention to detail was fantastic. The customer service and communication was also excellent. A pleasure to deal with the SPR team.

Feel lucky to be a customer of SPR. I would honestly not want to take my car anywhere else. Great team throughout, very polite which obviously results in a pleasant experience every time. Recently had my car serviced and Sam informed me that my subframe had corroded through and Mercedes are offering a warranty to replace it. I also needed a new spring. I was told I might as well get the springs done at Mercedes as there was no point charging me labour to replace them if they need to come off anyway when the subframe is changed. Subframe has now been replaced free of charge from Mercedes and I only had to pay for the springs (parts only). RESULT! Im not local but this is why I come out my way to go to SPR. 10/10. A big fan of the YouTube channel also, so hope to see my diesel on the channel sometime as we know you love them 😂

On my second visit to APRAutos I brought the 2004 CL500 (C215) for an “A” service plus a few other bits and pieces (gear box service and replace spark plugs). Unknown to me there were manpower problems in the garage due sickness and Holidays. As the day wore on it was looking unlikely that the car would be ready by 5 pm. But somehow or other the car completed it’s road test by 1645 and it was clear that the service had been completed to the usual high standard, further confirmed by the drive back home when It seemed to me that the car was about as good as when it left the factory So thank you all for an excellent job – and finishing on time

If your car is with SPR, consider yourself lucky. Fun fact: When Mercedes-Benz can't fix something because they are swappers not fixers, they send people to SPR. Update; after receiving my car back im very satisfied with work that was done to my car. Communication was very good and job breakdown with costs very transparent. Big surprise was the price. I paid £1500 for a lot of work. Rear brakes, gearbox service, differential service, 4 wheel bearings adjustment, 2 new suspension arms, MOT, 4 wheel tracking, new break fluid. I saw that they supplied for free missing bolts for bottome engine cover so thank you. I think I mentioned everything. So for this much work £1500 seems like super deal especially that job was done by professional team not another cowboy. Lady in office super nice and professional. She is totally committed to provide best customer care. We exchanged around 15 emails and she remembered to check everything I asked for in few different messages what was surprising because even I forgot about that grinding noise while turning but she didn't missed that detail. I drove there from Wales as I know SPR from YouTube channel they have and always wanted my car to be in their hands. After checking where they are based I decided to try book with them and drive all the way because I knew is worth it. If you wanna see how they work I recommend you check their YouTube channel. Many years in business and still working with passion. I have bad experience with previous mechanics and that's why I have to highlight that there are still decent people around. Big thanks to SPR for high ethics and passion. Can't wait for my car to brake down again 🤪

Thank you very much to all the team at SPR AUTOS. I have only recently started using this garage since finding them on their youtube channel. I find them to be very professional andl helpful staff, and go the extra distance . My W212 E350 was booked in for coolant pressure test only., not a full inspection. They noticed problem with sub frame which mercedes will inspect, and fit for free if needed. SPR don't make money out of this but good enough to advise.

I have recently used the parts section of SPR Autos to order a pair of ball joints for the front shock absorber ball joints for a R230 SL. I was weary as all suppliers are EU based, glad I found SPR Autos shop, I ordered them late morning and they had were delivered the next day! Now that is Great service! A nice genuine Garage providing a great service.

Been watching these guys for a while now on YouTube and the information they share is fantastic. I have seen some negative reviews and without sounding rude I can not understand the rating given seems very unfair for a business trying to help others . The thing is Mercedes are an extensive car at any age to look after and people who drive them know you need a small mortgage each year for maintenance. I own a 2007 plate clk and with these guys videos I have been able to look after my old girl a lot better. The only thing I’d say is do not let the negative fake reviews get to you we the real Mercedes owners appreciate your help and advice .

At age 71, I came to Mercedes late in life, but on a whim I bought a little 2003 SLK to add to my 2005 997 and my 1984 Audi Quattro. I found SPR after a thorough search of North West independent Merc specialists. This SLK was a 1 owner car but little used and little serviced. It needed a thorough check out and service. SPR did not disappoint. A preliminary exam revealed a number of jobs and the car was booked in for a few days during May. It was finished on time and at the price quoted and I am delighted not only with the service, but their knowledge and general attitude. My 5 ⭐️ rating is thoroughly deserved and I will be a return customer 👍

I forgot to leave a review when I had a gearbox service done a month ago. Recently discovered your YouTube channel, and the frustration of 2 reviews that had been left with less than favourable feedback. I had spend several weeks looking for somewhere to get the gearbox serviced on my 2020 A class, Mercedes wanted to charge over £600 for the work, with SPR offering just over £300. I cannot fault the service and communications I have received pre and post service. SPR managed to fit me in for the work despite their very busy schedule. I have since decided to send all my vehicle work to SPR as its easier for my partner as she works in Manchester. BF

I have to applaud these guys and understand why are so busy, they have been looking after my Mercedes for a fair few years my CLS W219 had a few issues when I first bought it and they advised me in the best way and continued with the work once I had agreed equally I had a CLK W209 which was always in great hands with these guys after years of neglect from other garages. 12 years ago, I took my new to me C250cdi to SPR autos with an engine management lamp, which another garage had been unable to diagnose. The team at SPR managed to diagnose the fault using their Star computer as a fault in the wiring and the signal from the lambda sensor. From that moment, I saw the benefits of using a brand specialist and for the next 5 years or so I used them each of my services despite it being quite an effort to get to them from where I live, It was worth the trip. In fact, I only moved away from them due to my car meeting and unfortunate demise in a meeting with a Volvo Artic. I've recommended SPR to friends before and would return to them should I buy another Mercedes.

Collected my car from SPR today (see pic)… I’ve been a customer nearly 15 years with several cars… and the whole team has been consistently flawless both in the quality of the work and the quality of the service. Don’t take my word for it… today I got no MOT advisories on a 27 year old car (A23 PDW) maintained meticulously by SPR. If you want receipts, there’s a video on SPR Autos YouTube channel from December 2024 of them doing loads of work on my car. When my car was made, the 20,000 workers were instructed to build every car as if they were doing it for their own family. SPR maintain vehicles with the same philosophy. Not that it’s the most important thing, but they’re all really nice people too. 9/10 of mechanics seem to either be doing things beyond their competence, hellbent on ripping people off for things that don’t really need doing, or find the most expensive way around the block of doing something. SPR is the other 1 in 10. Can you find cheaper places? Of course. But cheap is always more expensive in the long run, especially where luxury cars are concerned. It’s not just what you have done, but it’s the wider holistic examination of your vehicle and the foresight to know what needs doing and when. Mine was in SPR in January with four faults with different mechanical items and they fixed all of them without using any additional parts. That’s what mechanics are meant to do… fix things where it makes sense to do so, not just read a computer and put new parts in. What’s in it for me leaving a positive review? Nothing. But it’s easier to criticise than to praise sometimes and if we’re going to leave a bad review for one meal in a restaurant, we should leave a good one when somewhere goes the extra mile year after year. They have several recommendations in the official UK Mercedes-Benz Owners Club directory and those are people who will take their car anywhere and spend any money to have the best service. Ask yourself what the motivation is for that recent 1 star review from someone claiming to have been a customer 10 years ago (talk about living rent free in someone’s head!) and accusing SPR of joy riding through half a tank of fuel. Joy riding through the pervasive stop-start traffic around Stockport town centre and up the gridlocked M60? If you’re going to leave fake reviews, at least make up something that could possibly have happened in this universe or at least around Stockport. Many years ago the Mercedes-Benz strap line was “The best, or nothing”. That’s exactly what is on offer here at SPR.

Don’t normally leave reviews but felt like I had to, Ignore all 8 bad reviews as every single one is just common sense when your read them and not one of them is a valid reason for a bad review to give a company. Sam and all his staff are one of the best garages for anything Mercedes, he is honest, fairly priced, helpful and patient with any questions you have, great attention to detail and takes care of all the cars like they were his own. The rest of his staff take after him and how he treats customers. I have had my car since new for 13 years, used main dealers and two previous garages before finding SPR 3 years ago and I will continue to use them for my C63 AMG. Very rare to find a Mercedes garage with all the attributes they have, probably only 3 other Mercedes garages in the UK with the rest of them all being down south that are worth using. Common sense is needed with the unfortunate bad reviews which I am pretty sure all customers new & old will/should just ignore. Sam and team always get the job done whether it's been servicing or repairs. More often than not it's a same day turn around which helps. They only use genuine parts and work is carried out to a very high level. Sam also featured our car on YouTube channel during its alarm siren replacement! 😆 Courtesy cars which are F.O.C are usually available. Invoices are transparent and pricing is always better than the main dealers. Old customer and will continue to return.

Ordered a Aux Belt Kit and it arrived the next day (Free Delivery). Parts are all genuine Mercedes and the price of parts were trade price. Very happy.

My mum recently brought a lovely clk as it was a car my late father always wanted it seems to be well looked after but unfortunately over the weekend it did something strange with reverse where it was sluggish to engage gear . I watched YouTube videos on the SPR Autos channel. I was very impressed with Sam and the team’s workmanship and attention to detail after watching the videos. Got myself booked in to have 2 x control arms, 1 x tension thrust arm, 1 x voltage regulator changed on my c63. Sam has done a great job, the car feels and drives better than ever before. I may not be a frequent customer due to the long distance but I will definitely be a customer, whether it’s buying parts or coming down every now and again for jobs on the car. Got a nice little smart car as a courtesy car free of charge when mine was in for repairs - to drive that was an experience on it’s own (a pleasant one).

I've never used SPR but Sam and the team seem to be very knowledgeable and professional in their youtube videos and would use them for my 190e. They are rammed out and not taking on new customers until at least next year that answers a question. As a business owner I know what damage frivolous and deceitful reviews can cause and think it only right to balance things out. At the end of the day SPR can't be that bad otherwise they wouldn't be so busy.

Mercedes are complex luxury cars, and as such they need a high level of knowledge and understanding to truly maintain them and repair them properly. Which is why you need Sam and the team at SPR - they are truly wizards at Mercedes maintenance. You can 100% trust they'll never suggest something that doesn't need doing. The attention to detail is high and they'll often complete little 'while you're in there' jobs that will ensure you're not back again a few weeks later with something else that could have easily been avoided (but of course they will ask you first if you want it to be done). The parts they use are of the highest quality (either Mercedes OEM or as-good-as). And given all this, the prices are reasonable.

The online shopping experience was excellent. Great and quick communication. Sam was very helpful and knowledgeable in finding the correct part to buy for my 2001 Slk. Even sourcing another part that he wasn't making a penny on! And a quick delivery too. Well done to you all.

The hoody is outstanding value for money, the All Money Gone (AMG) plus the SPF Logo on the front are embroidered, not screen printed, not had that from any of the other YouTube merchandise. Truth to be told, I haven't had my car serviced at SPR Autos (wrong country, sadly) but I follow their YouTube channel and would be thrilled if I were so lucky to have my car serviced at SPR Autos. Based on my many hours of watching the work Sam does with a view to save repair cost but not skimping on either quality parts nor thorough repairs, I can highly recommend SPR Autos. I'm leaving this review to counteract some of the braindead 1-star reviews by customers who do not understand that a business can get so busy that they cannot reasonably accept new customers anymore for a while. Throwing a hissy fit by leaving a negative review without ever having had a bad service experience is not on, so here's my compensation review.

My local garage was unable to diagnose the problem with my husband’s Mercedes and following his unexpected death in March I wanted the car repaired. A friend suggested I contact SPR Autos who are experts in the field. They were happy to undertake a diagnostic check to try and identify the fault. Sam rang me and said the fault was not obvious following the diagnostic. We agreed he would continue to investigate. Sam kept in touch at each stage of the investigation and outlined the options. The Mercedes SL 55 AMG was my late husband Greg’s pride and joy and I felt I needed to fulfil his wish of getting it back to its former glory. Sam persevered and identified and replaced the part that was causing the problem. It was a great moment when he told me it was once again running like a dream. I’m very grateful to Sam and his team for their persistence and expertise. Also for their sensitivity in supporting my desire to achieve my late husband’s wishes. Sadly the car will be sold but I draw comfort from the fact that a new owner will enjoy the special experience of driving such an amazing vehicle as we did. Took my w205 in for a gearbox service, great customer service from start to finish

Having watched high peak autos and Matt with honest car reviews he mentioned for Mercedes he uses these guys ,SPR autos in Stockport , so followed Sam on his channel , again honesty comes across and so I booked in with Sam for an A service and gearbox service , great atmosphere here and Sam is a gent , left the car with him and duly collected it later that day , all works done and a print out of it and some advisory items for future maintenance, the car drives like a lovely smooth comfy sofa and already seeing better fuel consumption inside a week of the work done , couldn’t be happier with the service and work they’ve done on my wife’s e class , Absolutely well worth entrusting your luxury car with , honesty and great work is the reason this company gets top reviews, many thanks Sam and your lads at SPR for a fantastic job on our car .

Ordered Engine Mounts from SPR on monday. Had it delivered to London by 9am the next day. Thought i was being spoofed by UPS 🤣. Super efficient!
